Tips for looking after yourself

As a person, and particularly as a leader, it is important to take care of yourself. Here are some tips and ideas to help you look after your own wellbeing:

  • Find time to enjoy what’s happening

  • Try something new

  • Get plenty of sleep

  • Go for walks

  • Try to see the funny side of things

  • Sing!

  • Be passionate about something

  • Imagine everything positively

  • Make a plan of what you really want to achieve this year

  • Take the long-term view

  • Work out your core values

  • Strengthen important relationships

  • Reserve judgement about people you meet

  • Structure your day well

  • Speak positive affirmations to yourself

  • Step out of your comfort zone

  • Declutter your life

  • Be curious

  • Establish mutual expectations with others

Action: Why not take one of these and focus on implementing it in your life for the next 30 days?
